Hybrid children's NextAid house

At MUD, we’re dedicated to creating a beautiful future for individuals around the world. For this reason we are proud to partner with charities that are making a positive contribution to people’s lives, both locally and internationally. Whether we are adopting a family through the Salvation Army, collecting gifts for homeless women and children, working to improve the quality of education in our public schools or building a home for children orphaned by AIDS, MUD Cares about making a personal difference in the everyday lives of people in need. We like to think of it as building a foundation for a better tomorrow.

Every girl deserves a beautiful future

Make-Up Designory (MUD) is pleased to align with individuals like Noella Coursaris Musunka, an international model and activist who is making a meaningful contribution to the lives of girls in need. Noella’s awareness of the challenges that girls face in her home country of the Democratic Republic of the Congo inspired her to create the Georges Malaika Foundation, an organization devoted to helping girls achieve their goals through education. Like Noella, we believe that beauty is more than skin deep. This is why MUD Cares about raising awareness for a worthy cause.

The beauty of giving

This year, MUD Cares teamed up with NextAid and Red Rhino in an effort to help orphaned children in Africa who have lost their parents due to the AIDS epidemic. To support this worthy cause, we developed and promoted a limited edition palette of rich, earthy Eye Colors. Why is it beautiful? 100% of the proceeds are going toward building a safe, sustainable home for six children and one caregiver.

NextAid is a nonprofit organization committed to developing and implementing innovative solutions to the challenges facing African children. Its mission is to promote community-driven, environmentally sustainable, economically and socially empowering responses to the AIDS orphan pandemic. NextAid is collaborating with the Red Rhino Orphanage Project, an organization devoted to housing and educating some of the most desperate and unfortunate children in Kenya, enabling them to become contributing members of society and leaders of the next generation. Red Rhino is currently constructing a housing facility that will provide rescued children, children at risk and orphaned children in Kenya with a safe, encouraging and healthy home. This home will work in partnership with the surrounding community in ways that foster local commerce and positively impact the environment. In addition, Red Rhino is working to give these children the education, support and life skills they will need in order to thrive throughout their lives.

MUD Cares about arts education

At MUD, we know that today’s children are tomorrow’s creative visionaries. This is why we’re also devoted to investing in the future of our local communities. MUD Cares is proud to provide ongoing support for the Burbank Arts Foundation, the only organization dedicated to ensuring permanent and equal access to a quality arts education for Burbank’s 15,000 students. MUD has been involved with the Foundation since its inception in 2006. In that time, we’ve helped to raise and allocate funds in support of art education in the Burbank Unified School District in music, visual arts, dance and drama. We’ve also helped to spearhead the Downtown Burbank Arts Festival, an annual event that attracts more than 30,000 people, features more than 100 artists, and showcases student artistic talent from the Burbank Unified schools. As educators in the arts, this cause is particularly special to us. Please visit www.burbankartsed.org for more information.
